THE SPECIAL FORMULA BAND comes to us from Jacksonville, Florida and is a broad range performing band consitisting of 16 members. They play JAZZ,FUNK, R&B, OLD and NEW SCHOOL MUSIC, HIP HOP, SOUL, DISCO they play it all with something for every one. The members all come from different occupations in life but you put all that talent together and what you get is nothing short of phenomenal.
SPECIAL FORMULA BAND influences are many EARTH WIND AND FIRE, KOOL and the GANG, CHICAGO,GAP BAND, THE SOS BAND, FRANKIE BEVERLY and MAZE, STEVE WONDER, THE BAR-KAYS, CHARLIE WILSON, ANTHONY HAMILTOTON, MUSIQ, KEITH SWEAT, GUY, BABYFACE, ZAPP, FANTASIA, ANGELA WINBUSH, DOUG E FRESH and the list goes on. As you listen to them you definitely hear those influences but the SPECIAL FORMULA BAND molds it into music and sound uniquely their's and they own it. They travel to festivals and venues large and small all over the country and they can keep a stadium full of people on their feet or a romantic dance in the most intimate of venues.
